Description

Macanudo Emissary France

Macanudo Emissary France was created to deliver elegant and sophisticated smoking experiences

using tobacco from iconic European locales.  As the second release in the lineup, Emissary France

utilizes tobacco grown in southwestern France, between Bordeaux and the Spanish border.

The region’s Mediterranean terroir and proximity to the ocean yield tobacco with distinct notes

of salt and dark berries.  Several acclaimed tobaccos compete the five-country blend, each

leaf meticulously aged between four and ten years, making Macanudo Emissary France a

cigar as unique and refined as its composition.

General Cigar Co. has diversified its Macanudo portfolio far beyond the popular, yet mild, Macanudo Café line, which is often synonymous with the brand. Take Macanudo Emissary France, released in 2025 as a follow-up to Macanudo Emissary España. Like the España, Emissary France is made from a blend defined by uncommon tobacco: filler leaf from southwestern France. The remaining fillers are a combination of Connecticut broadleaf, Dominican Piloto and Brazilian Arapiraca, held together by a broadleaf binder and an Ecuador Habano wrapper. The unique blend shines in this Churchill, a dark cigar that marries bold notes of leather and black pepper with sweeter impressions of coffee bean and cocoa.
