Romeo y Julietta 1875 Nicaragua

The Romeo y Julieta 1875 Nicaragua is dubbed with the bold and zesty hints of Nicaraguan tobaccos, which modern connoisseurs have come to appreciate. The cigars come handcrafted by Plasencia Cigars S.A., within their renowned Nicaraguan factory, showcasing a lush medley of sweet, spicy, and earthy Plasencia tobaccos.

The Romeo y Julieta 1875 Nicaragua is a bold and flavorful take on the iconic 1875 line, crafted entirely with Nicaraguan tobaccos for a rich, full-bodied smoking experience. Handmade by A.J. Fernandez, this puro features a dark Nicaraguan wrapper over a hearty blend of aged Nicaraguan fillers and binder, offering complex notes of earth, cedar, pepper, cocoa, and a subtle natural sweetness. With excellent construction, a slow burn, and a smooth draw, the 1875 Nicaragua is perfect for those who enjoy a more intense version of the classic Romeo y Julieta profile, highlighting the depth and strength of Nicaraguan terroir.

    Romeo y Julieta 1875 Nicaragua
”The Legend, Redefined with Nicaraguan Fire”
The 1875 Nicaragua is a bold collaboration between the famous Altadis “Grupo de Maestros” and the legendary AJ Fernandez. While the original 1875 is known for being mild and woody, this Nicaraguan Puro version is aged to perfection to deliver a rich, complex experience that captures the “soul” of the Estelí region.
    The Experience
The first thing you’ll notice is the beautiful, reddish-brown Nicaraguan Habano wrapper. It has a slight oiliness and a very solid feel in the hand. Upon lighting, it doesn’t wait to introduce itself—you get a classic Nicaraguan “snap” of spice right away. As it burns, it smooths out into a medium-bodied rhythm that is savory, nutty, and incredibly satisfying.
    Tasting Profile
Primary Flavors: Toasted Hazelnuts, Aged Cedar, and Earth.
The “AJ Effect”: Look for that signature white pepper spice on the retrohale that AJ Fernandez is famous for.
The Finish: A sweet, chocolatey finish that balances out the spicy start.
    Technical Specifications
    Strength: Medium-Full
    Wrapper: Nicaraguan Habano
    Binder: Nicaragua
    Filler: Nicaragua
Origin: Crafted at the AJ Fernandez factory in Estelí.
Owner’s Note: If you grew up smoking the classic Romeo y Julieta but find yourself wanting something with more body and a cleaner spice, this is your cigar. It’s a 1875 that finally has some “teeth.” It pairs exceptionally well with a spiced rum or a bold dark roast coffee.
