”I picked up a few of the Rocky Patel Year of the Dragon Toros, and they are easily some of the best-looking cigars in my humidor right now. That massive gold and red dragon band against the dark Mexican San Andrés wrapper is stunning.
The flavor profile is definitely ‘Big and Bold.’ It starts off with a punch of black pepper and cinnamon, but then it settles into this incredibly rich mix of dark chocolate, espresso, and roasted nuts. What surprised me most was how smooth the strength felt—it’s a solid medium-to-full, but because the filler tobacco was aged since 2014, there isn’t a single harsh note.
It burned razor-straight for nearly two hours. This is the definition of a celebration cigar. If you can find a box at Let’s Smoke near the airport, grab it before they’re gone—with only 6,000 boxes made, these won’t last. A 94-point experience all day long.”
